Houston Family Magazine Features Cinnamon Shore
A Houston writer chronicles her family's stay at Cinnamon Shore, touting its many amenities and natural charms.
Writer Kimberly Davis Guerra visited prior to the COVID-19 shutdown and gave glowing praise to the community.
Guerra says that upon arrival, "you feel transported and immediately relaxed as soon as you pull into the community," and she was impresssed by scale and overall plan for the community, writing:
"Calming pastels on all of the building paint an amazing landscape flowing throughout the small community. Intimately sized to foster relationships between neighbors and offer amenities designed to engage the community make for a wonderful environment to spend time with friends and family."
The perfect vacation rental home
Guerra raves about the floor plan of the home where her family stayed. Her kids loved the bunk rooms with a den of their own in between, and she loved that there were three bedrooms with their own private bathrooms. But the second-floor living areas won her over: "Balconies on both ends of the house offered a wonderful cross breeze with the doors open and the kitchen and living room in the middle offered plenty of room for all of us to relax, eat and plan our itinerary," she writes in the article.
Their rental home overlooked the Dune Pool and despite chilly weather, her kids jumped right in upon arrival.
So much to do!
The magazine writer was impressed with the array of activities available. "There are so many things to do on property that once you are there, you truly do not need to leave," she writes.
Her family went to Dylan's and loved it. "We had rented a golf cart (a must) that fit almost our entire gaggle and the kids really enjoyed the 2-minute ride to the restaurant," she writes. "There was something for everyone (even gluten free) and portions are generous. We had plenty of leftovers to bring back to the house for the next day."
The family spent a day on the beach and had bonfire on the beach with s'mores that night. Guerra popped in to The Market, on site, to pick up hot dogs to roast over the fire and chips, and loved the convenience:
"Located on property is a market and with everything you need for your stay. Since it is a quick cart ride from the house, last minute dinner options are not an issue! It really makes it super easy to stay in your beach ‘bubble’ and not have to leave the community."
And the bonfire itself was a perfect ending to the day: "Our cookout was a hit and both kids and parents relaxed around the fire as the waves crashed nearby," Guerra writes.
Enthusiastic review
We appreciate the great coverage and are glad Guerra enjoyed her stay and encourages fellow Houstonites to try Cinnamon Shore, writing, "If you are looking for a great family or family getaway, I couldn’t recommend Cinnamon Shore more. It is far enough away to really feel like a vacation, yet not too far that you can’t go for a quick weekend recharge."
