Food Drive: Helping Hands Food Pantry
Help Cinnamon Shore Give Back!
After the family photos are taken and you’re packing up to head home, help Cinnamon Shore stock the local food bank this holiday season!
We’re collecting canned or dried food at the Vacation Rentals office through Fri., Dec. 15th!
Grab extra items at the Port A IGA or share leftover canned green beans from your beachside family meals. Families like yours can ensure The Port Aransas Helping Hands Food Bank has plenty to give.
Understanding the Mission
According to the Port Aransas Helping Hands Food Pantry website, the non-profit group helps area families by providing::
• Emergency food for Port Aransas families
• Food assistance for children in school and school-related activities.
It is a non-profit that operates solely on donations and is staffed solely by volunteers. The HHFP is an agency of the Coastal Bend Food Bank in Corpus Christi, and does not discriminate on race, gender, or other such criteria.
Earlier this year, the Cinnamon Shore Giving Fund contributed $25,000 to the Helping Hands Food Pantry, along with contributions to two other area nonprofits, as a result of the Cinnamon Shore Charity Wine Auction.
